Sports Posters & AR

Brief:

For this project, I was tasked with creating three different interactive posters that would be printed out at 24 x 36 inches. The posters were going to become interactive by a coded design through a software application called Processing, which would react to the sound of a specific audio clip. Combining this process with another app known as Artivive, users can view the coded animation on the poster, digitally with their mobile device.

Ideation:

I chose to create three sports posters with one from baseball, football, and basketball. The concept for each poster was chosen by picking an iconic moment from each sport (MLB, NFL, NBA), and this moment would serve as the subject/idea on each poster. The idea behind this was that when looking at the poster and then hearing the audio paired with it you would know exactly what iconic moment this was in sports history.

Challenges and solutions:

This project posed many difficult challenges as I had to think of a way to use audio and visual animation effects to enhance my posters. The code I created reacted to the sound, so I had to create a code that would produce something from the sound that could be applied effectively to my poster.
